The tunnel project is back. Time to gear up!

Attend the CEQA scoping meetings in Walnut Grove and Clarksburg – get your comments and concerns into the legal record.

The Department of Water Resources released the Notice of Preparation on January 15, 2020 kicking off the environmental review process. Make no mistake – one tunnel is just as damaging to North Delta Communities and the Delta as the old twin tunnels project.

What has changed:
Potential new eastern tunnel alignment closer to I-5. The original alignment through the central Delta is still on the table. See map.
Proposed capacity: 6000 cubic feet per second (CFS) (previous capacity 9,000 CFS), with two North Delta intakes (previously three intakes)

What has NOT changed:
Same potential intake sites near Clarksburg, Hood and Courtland. Two will be selected. See map.
Same potential for destruction of Delta communities, fish, wildlife, farmland and water quality.
